Conference Venue:

The conference will take place at the Collège de France in the heart of the Latin Quarter. The Collège is situated on the corner of rue des Écoles and rue St Jacques, accross from La Sorbonne. Public transportation:

Paris offers a very efficient public transportation system, including Metro (subway), RER (fast urban train), buses and of course taxicabs.

A standard subway ticket costs 1.30 € (Euros) ; a booklet of 10 (un carnet) costs 10 €. You will need one ticket for a single bus ride or for each access to the subway system (métro and RER section urbaine) with unlimited connections. If you travel outside Paris central area, in particular to and from the airports, you will need a different ticket at a higher price. You may find it worthwhile to buy a Carte Orange Hebdomadaire ( 14.50 Euros), which allows unlimited travel from Monday through Sunday in Paris central area.

Single tickets can be purchased aboard buses, carnets at Tabacs and the entire range of tickets, carnets, day and week passes at subway stations.
